I’m in the market for some quality iPod earbuds and was wondering if anyone had any advice. I would also consider regular headphones, but they would need to be ones that fold flat so I can put them in my bag. Ideally, they would work with the iPhone, including that little clicker on the cord that advances tracks and mutes the music when a call comes in, but that’s not critical. Mostly, I want something that sounds great and is portable. I’m leaning towards the V-Moda Vibe Duo. Any others I should check out? Comment or reblog, please!
Since one of the requirements is to be iPhone compatible, I’m not sure I can be of help. Maybe there are 3rd-party clickers?. Nevertheless, I’ll recommend a good intra-ear monitor over some headphones for on the go listening.
The ones I’ve been using with an iPod Shuffle are the [d-Jays](http://www.jays.se/products.aspx?sub=djays). A pretty good sounding entry-level intra-ear monitor. It blocks the ambient noise well too. I’ve listened to music while riding the Montreal subway (but it’s not at noisy as the NYC subway when it breaks). I had a first-generation d-Jays, and the wire was a bit stiffer and suffered from I think what’s called stereophonics (if you touch the wire, you can hear it). I’ve had it replaced within the warranty, and it is better.
